I probably don't have any followers anymore because I haven't blogged since Halloween. That's OK. I still have stuff to ramble on about so here I go.
My usual excuse for not blogging is because I think knitting is more fun. And that did take up a bunch of my time before Christmas. I had plenty of projects to keep me busy! But since then I have just found other things to do. I still have a couple o projects on needles (that goes without saying). I have been slowly un-decorating from Christmas. I have been walking every day. I have been finding lots of other little things to do other than blogging.
Well, today my plan was to finish up a winter wall quilt that has been in pieces in a drawer for over a year. There is a giant, empty wall where I usually have a quilt hanging. It has been staring me in the face since I took down the Thanksgiving one in late November. I was going to get up, clean off the kitchen table (it is covered with various things that people I live with set down and don't put in their proper place), set up the sewing machine and get to work. Well, I guess there is something I dont' want to do more than blog because, here I am, writing a new blog post!
It's not that I don't like to sew (or blog). It's just that I don't want to do what I have to do to get to the place where I am actually sewing. Maybe that's why I find it so easy to get stuck knitting. All I have to do is find a nice place to sit and grab my needles. There is no prep, no set up, and I don't have to make a space by cleaning up after my family. I usually just prop up the pillows on my bed and go for it. It makes me feel so cozy on these dreary winter days.
But lately I have felt the void of not blogging. I have things to say and share with my friends and family and this is the best way to do it. So to all of you out there that keep checking up on us and you have had to look at my gross Halloween face several times, here is a new post. I'm back! And I am actually thinking of starting a Knitting Blog. (If you have any suggestions for blog names let me know) Check back soon and often. Hopefully my next post will show my completed wall quilt. But don't hold your breath!

Hi Aimee, I can relate to the void of not blogging. I decided that I like to keep it for myself if anything, and it's an excellent way to look back on what things the family and I have been up to. I am glad you're blogging again!
